Movie Reviews
I have realized that, for all my love of movies, there’s a insanely massive backlog of major films that I have never taken the time to see. So this year, I am choosing to watch one classic American film, every week. After posting my reviews on the Faceplace for the first quarter of the year, I decided I'd like to start archiving them here!
To build my watch list, I pulled films I haven’t seen/don’t remember from AFI and BBC Culture’s “Best American Films” lists. Then, I pulled from a few “best of” Action, Romance, Comedy, and Horror lists to provide some balance. I’ve tried to alternate the list among the decades (from ‘30s to the ‘90s), genres, directors, run-time, and holidays in order to create variety.
To my movie/culture friends: There’s going to be A LOT that you won’t believe I’ve never seen before (and that’s the point of this)!
I’m also going to get fat from all of the popcorn! 🍿🙌🏻😂
